okay okay I took a long break from working on requests (lots of progress on Milky Rose and Cure Marine so far though) but FOR A GOOD REASON.

I got some money back from my dad that I paid him about a year ago for a monitor I no longer need (cause he wanted it instead) so I bought lotsa Precure…

ooh ooh! I recognize the first and third on your list; those are two I’d most like to see (Eas and Soular’s expressions in the preview are great haha). I’ve toyed with the idea of buying dojinshi since the samples the artists post on pixiv are so appealing, but a) I have no idea how to actually purchase them and b) I could understand very little even if I did pffft. so I’m happy for you, and I hope you enjoy your copies!

I ran into a little snag during my first order attempt. Spent about an hour making sure I set up an account and placed my order properly using the forwarding address I signed up for, and I’m pretty sure I did it correctly! With one teeny tiny issue: Toranoana doesn’t even deal with forwarding services within Japan. tenso.com seems to be great, but (and I’m saying this for the sake of anyone who happens to be reading) caution must be taken with any site that states very clearly that they do not accept international orders. Which Toranoana definitely does, on every single freakin’ part of their site. I assumed having an address in Japan was all I needed, but that’s not the case. I don’t know their exact reasoning but I can’t blame them regardless, I suppose if it’s obvious you have a customer on your hands that does not 100% understand how your company works (and I definitely don’t), it could lead to trouble to do business with them.

Anyway, I’m trying shoppingmalljapan.com now since they are a deputy service, actually placing the order for you and all. I’ve seen no indication yet that they can’t do Toranoana orders, so let’s see how this goes. The worst that could happen is that I wasted a bit of time. That 200+ page Labyrinth anthology seems to have only one copy left, so here’s to hoping I can get this order processed quickly enough. If this doesn’t work I’ll probably just forget about doing this.
